Rochester Youth Cycling Club’s Accomplishments
Impacting Kid’s Lives
RYCC is proud to have had a positive impact on so many kids’ lives!
Since 2019 we’ve been enabling youth from the Greater Rochester area to participate the healthy and active sport of mountain biking.
Our most important rule is to always have fun!
Scholarships
Mountain biking can be expensive. This presents a barrier that prohibits many from enjoying this sport. This is where RYCC’s scholarship program helps out.
We use a combination of grant money and the donations we raise to open the world of mountain biking to many who otherwise would miss out.
Trail Maintenance
Many people assume mountain bike trails are created by our tax dollars. While it is true that the land is owned by the public parks, various groups work with the parks to plan an create the trails using volunteer labor.
At RYCC we volunteer our time with the Genesee Regional Off-Road Cyclists (GROC) to help build and maintain trails for the public to enjoy.
When we’re not helping build trails we model trail stewardship every time we ride.
Community Service
Everyone at RYCC is grateful for the support we get from the Rochester community, and what better way to say thanks than to give some support back!
Every year RYCC youth and coaches volunteer their time to operate a rest stop for bikers participating in the University of Rochester’s Wilmot Warrior Weekend charity ride.
RYCC sets up and operates a rest area to serve drinks and snacks to the teams of riders who are “leaving cancer in the dust.”
The Natalie Award

RYCC is extremely proud of all our kids! We are especially proud when we see them stepping up and acting as role models for the rest of the club.
The Natalie Award is an annual recognition of an RYCC youth rider who exemplifies the sportsperson-ship demonstrated by the individual for whom this award is name – Natalie Strzepek.
