Rochester Youth Cycling Club (RYCC) is Rochester, NY’s premier youth mountain biking program. As a nonprofit organization, we are dedicated to helping young riders discover the joy, challenge, and community found on the trails.
At our core, we are a cycling club that hosts regular rides for boys and girls in grades 5–12 from Rochester and the surrounding region. These rides give young people the opportunity to do something they love while building confidence, developing skills, and forming lasting friendships with their peers.
Beyond weekly rides, we field a cross-country mountain bike race team that competes in the New York League of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA). This outstanding league offers exceptionally well-organized events where student-athletes compete against others in their age group in a fun, supportive, and low-pressure environment.
We also provide mountain biking coaching and instruction for beginners — including kids who may have never had the opportunity to experience Rochester’s beautiful park systems by bike. Because mountain biking can be difficult to start without a parent or mentor who rides, many of our members unleashed their passion for biking with the help of our deep, experienced coaching staff and our welcoming, inclusive culture.
Above all, our mission is to remove barriers and create a safe, supportive, and fun environment where every child can confidently hit the trails.
