Rochester Youth Cycling Club (RYCC) is Rochester, NY’s premier youth mountain biking program. As a nonprofit organization, we are dedicated to helping young riders discover the joy, challenge, and community found on the trails.
At our core, we are a cycling club that hosts regular rides for boys and girls in grades 5–12 from Rochester and the surrounding region. These rides give young people the opportunity to do something they love while building confidence, developing skills, and forming lasting friendships with their peers.
In addition to our weekly rides, we field a cross-country mountain bike race team that competes in the New York League of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA). This outstanding league offers exceptionally well-organized events where student-athletes compete against others in their age group in a fun, supportive, and low-pressure environment.
We also offer coaching and instruction specifically for beginners—including kids who haven’t yet explored Rochester’s beautiful parks on two wheels. Since mountain biking can be intimidating without a mentor, we take pride in our inclusive culture. With the guidance of our experienced coaching staff, many of our members have transformed from first-time riders into passionate cyclists.
Above all, our mission is to remove barriers and create a safe, supportive, and fun environment where every child can confidently hit the trails.
Rochester Youth Cycling Club invites all GIRLS grade 5-12 to try a mountain bike ride!
